Taking on the BIG BANKS!

Written by

Bundaberg's Wide Bay Australia Building Society is now AUSWIDE Bank Ltd - Australia's 10th bank.

The new bank, (formally Wide Bay Australia Ltd), was founded in Bundaberg in 1966 as Burnett Permanent Building Society, which subsequently amalgamated with other local building societies from Mackay, Gladstone, Maryborough, Gympie and the northern Sunshine Coast.

AUSWIDE Bank will no doubt continue to provide Australians, including regional Queenslanders, with a local banking solution and an alternative to the "big banks".

With the new name and new look, Scribblyinc was commmissioned to assit with the rebrand project - a massive undertaking with tight deadlines and schedules - but we loved it!
From print to web, signage to internal documents and stationery.... here is just some of our work!

No School like Old School

Written by

Where to start with Teressa and Garion.... other than where good times are to be had this lovely couple will be there! With the ceremony held at the gorgeously unique Branyan Retreat Bundaberg the day was all about old school rustic charm and the must-have VW's.  Teressa had decided on her VW kombi vans long before her stunning gown (from Miss La D Da Bridal in Bundaberg and hair and make-up by the girls at Aristocut Hair & Beauty) was even considered.  However her super organisational skills meant that by the time we met face-to-face she had every check-box ticked and was super relaxed about marrying the man of her dreams. What I love about Bundaberg weddings is that everything is at your fingertips. With the bridal preparations in the wedding suite at Bundaberg's Burnett Riverside Hotel and ending in a gorgeous little reception at the Bundaberg Botanical Gardens' Cafe 1928 we had photographs in over 5 locations with the afternoon filled with love, fun, frivolity.... oh and of course the obligatory glass of bubbly!  Congratulations Garion and Teressa and thank you X

Sweet Sweet Love

Written by

For Chris and Kirsty their wedding day lead-up was filled with an unfortunate set of events which would turn any bride-to-be into an utter state of despair and stress!!  For Kirsty however she took it all in her stride and jumped every hurdle and navigated every dead-end.  It has to be said though that behind every bride is a super strong matron of honour and Jo filled these shoes unlike I have ever seen before.  Level headed, attention to detail and quick thinking (I would hate to see her phone bill after the wedding!!), Jo was with Kirsty every step of the way phoning, texting, emailing and sourcing alternatives.  With every disaster that could possibly happen (and pretty much did!) pre-wedding day... this left the day of the wedding.  I am pleased to say that aside from a little wind the day was perfect for Kirsty and Chris as is their love for each other!  Thank you guys for letting me be a part of your special day.  May the love you share continue on into the future xox

Childhood Sweethearts

Written by

I had the pleasure and honour of being asked to photograph Jess and Dom’s engagement photos and I knew instantly that this was a love that would last a life time. Honest, patient, caring and pure these two young adults were testimony that true love and soul mates exist. Their wedding day was filled with such joy, love and hope that everyone present could say they had been touched by something special. Thank you Jess and Dom for a truly memorable day - laughter, tears of joy, expressions of love and a peaceful harmony. bundaberg wedding photography bundaberg wedding photography

Little Did They Know....

Written by

What can I say about Josh and Emily? Best friends, soul mates and kindred spirits doesn’t even begin to describe the relationship these two beautiful people share. The event was organised under a “pre-wedding” celebration before the big day. A small group of family and friends invited to celebrate the inevitable future wedding… or so everyone thought! Emily’s father took centre stage and announced there was going to be a wedding a little sooner than everyone had originally been led to believe…. Josh and Emily walked out as the crowd parted and the celebrant made herself known. Josh and Emily became husband and wife that night and it truly was a declaration of love and foreverness which touched the hearts of everyone present. It is a memory I will forever hold as one of those resonating beautiful moments in life…..

Once again I cannot be thankful enough for the love and beauty I am surrounded with in my photography pursuits .... I truly am blessed and grateful. Smile

More than Puppy Love

Written by

Jess and Dom are childhood sweethearts so comfortable and expressive in their look of the world and their relationship.  Easy going and quite obviously in love these two are so very different from each other but compliment eachother in every - they are eachother's ying ang yang.  One thing they do share the same views on and quite obviously get so much joy and love from is their two beloved hounds Boss and Sash.  Jess and Dom were both adamant that their engagement photos include the "kids".  Now we all know the age old saying... "never work with kids and animals"... well this photo session made a furphy out of this little rule!!  These hounds were spectacularly behaved and so obviously loved by their owners, it was pretty special to say the least!  With Jess and Dom's wedding day just around the corner, no doubt I will be seeing these two prized pooches once more and sharing in the love of this special family unit.  XoX

In Love Body and Soul

Written by

I had been speaking to Alana for over a year regarding her upcoming beautiful wedding day. She was always relaxed and open to just about anything... as long as she finally became Mrs "man of her dreams" and marry her best friend, lover and soul mate, then she was happy. The day finally arrived and Alana was more relaxed than any bride I have ever encountered and she only had eyes for her man. It really was a blessing to see the love these two had for each other and because of this, the day was a glorious declaration of their love and commitment in front of their friends and family. I truly wish for everyone to experience even half of the love these two shared. Thanks Alana and Rick for allowing me to be a part of your special day. xx

A Family Event

Written by

Although Brett and Keara came to me with no expectations we did have one slight little problem we needed to work thorugh - Keara hated having her photograph taken!  Now as I explained to Keara this did make it a little difficult with her being the bride!  However when the day finally arrived I went in ever so casually making no demands and working at Keara's pace.  She slowly began to relax and I really don't think she realised how beautiful she looked and even more so when she smiled! This wedding was a blending of familes and for most, it was the first time meeting.  It was wonderful to see the interaction and people moments which occured throughout the day and into the evening so I felt it really important to capture these "family" moments which Keara and Brett were ever so appreciative of.  When Keara saw her images for the first time she was thrilled (which of course I love hearing!) but nothing I said to her could convince her that it was her own beauty and hapiness which made images so special.

A Beautiful Surprise

Written by

I have had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the Grey family a number of times. From the very special first pregnancy to an entire extended family photo session, to the most recent equally as special soon to be new arrival... a surprise! The amount of love and tenderness this family has for one another makes me love not only being in their company but capturing their special moments. Mrs Grey makes pregnancy look (to the uninitiated like me) thoroughly effortless! I cannot wait to meet Miss or Master Grey and capture more wonderful memories for the Grey family to treasure forever. This wonderful new addition will be surrounded by an abundance of love and warmth. Thank you Grey family for letting me be a part of your lives! XX

Beautiful Inside and Out

Written by

It's prom week and what a week.  I had to share this particular shoot because the lovely young lady (and her partner) were an absolute delight to be around.  It's funny sometimes when you meet someone and you swear you have met them before, or maybe there is something so familiar and natural that you swear your paths have previously crossed.  Well that's what happened on this shoot.  Now there is a good 18 years difference between myself (I am giving away my age!!) and this prom couple but I felt like I had known them for many years.  Wise beyond their years this generation will set the world in good stead for a brighter, kinder and more honest future.  It was a sheer joy to be in their company.  Not only were they beautiful on the outside but their inner beauty far outshone what the world could see at face-value. xx
